  1. George says:

Thanks for the report. As though we’ve seen an increase in PBIEDs outside the main theater of conflict as BH tries to deflect security forces’ attention from their operational bases. What still intrigues me is how they are preparing, indoctrinating and coordinating these suicide bombers. For the males it’s easier to understand, but for the females I would really like to hear what they are being told.

    • peccavi says:

They have a better network than we can imagine, the thing is that several of these girls have been captured so the nature of their cell structure should be understood by now.
However I think in fact for females its easier to use than males. Remember that Nigeria is a male dominated patriarchal society.
In southern Nigeria people willingly send their children to hawk on the streets or be housemaids, in the north young males are sent to al majiri schools, or to hawk or even into marriage for young girls. In such a situation, where people are uneducated, completely in the power of older people be it parents, guardians, uncles, teachers, mallams, imams etc it is not as hard as it sounds.
The biggest mistake, Nigerians can make is to think this is a northern problem. With the right conditions exactly the same thing can happen in the south

  2. Kay says:

Thanks for your sit reps Peccavi,
About the daesh not responding, there are 2 vids uploaded within the last 2 days from Syria purportedly celebrating bh. Though might turn out insignificant, should be a wake up call to the security apparatus.

    • George says:

@Kay please could you share the link for the videos? Much appreciated.

    • peccavi says:

Hi Oga Kay, Daesh main has not replied even if a few followers have. But I still contend even if they do it is due to mutual necessity more than anything.
Eventually a sort of supply line might open from Libya but I believe that such a link would have happened naturally.
the whole thing is a psychological operation to make themselves feel better and scare people

      • Kay says:

Yep. Figured it might be a tad insignificant and more like an ego trip for them. Both terrorists groups losing heavily within the last weeks especially BH getting annihilated.
Nevertheless, governments should not relent in border controls, any foreign national especially of Middle Eastern descent should be questioned and examined thoroughly before granting entry. For potential African recruits, borders should be aggressively checking for signs of men in groups trying to gain entry.

  3. George says:

Gents, as much as I see the mutual benefit for both groups. There are deeply rooted cultural issues that will prevent ISIS as Arabs from cooperating with BH. They are extremely racist. History shows how the Arab World promoted slavery for centuries. The Arab world has bot changed much since then still viewing Black Africans as inferior.

    • peccavi says:

I agree but it will not stop them making common cause especially when desperate Daesh has not properly acknowledged BH until now when they are getting their asses kicked
