Elements of 28 TF Bde recovered a 15 year old girl in GUBLA, SUKUR District, MADAGALI LGA, ADAMAWA State from Boko Haram captivity. Gunmen also attacked friendly forces (at an unspecified time and location) recovering 1 x AK 47, 1 x AK 47 magazine containing 4 x 7.62mm (AK) rounds
The NAF conducted an intelligence led operation against suspected enemy positions in TONGULE Village, NGALA LGA, BORNO State 9km southwest of DIKWA, tasking Alphajet and Mi 35M Attack Helicopters to engage the target with bombs, rockets and cannon fire, destroying the village and following up with attacks on fleeing survivors

Elements of 22 Bde conducted a clearance operation in MAIMA Village, NGALA LGA rescuing 2 boys and 2 girls abducted in 2016 from NGAFURE Village, DIKWA LGA, BORNO State. A Type 36 HE grenade was also recovered
Elements of 222 Bn ambushed suspected enemy forces on bicycles in the vicinity of MALARI Village, GWOZA LGA, BORNO State killing 2 enemy and capturing 10 bicycles

Gunmen mounted in 10 trucks attacked GASARWA, NGANZAI LGA, BORNO State near MONGUNO defeating vigilantes and setting the village on fire killing 2 elderly men and 3 children and destroying food and livestock.
The NAF conducted air strikes on suspected enemy positions on islands on the southern part of Lake CHAD in the vicinity of DABAN MASARA, MONGUNO LGA, BORNO State using an ISR aircraft to guide an Alphajet onto 2 of 4 green roofed building, leading to 2 buildings destroyed

Troops detained a suspected Boko Haram member Maje LAWAN in an IDP Camp in BANKI, BAMA LGA, BORNO State. LAWAN is suspected to be number 96 on the wanted list

80 IMN members were acquitted of Criminal Conspiracy, Culpable Homicide, Unlawful Assembly, Disturbance of the Public Peace and Wrongful restraint in relation to the alleged attack of the COAS convoy in ZARIA, KADUNA State in 2015 at the KADUNA State High Court as the Prosecution did not present enough evidence
01 August
Troops conducted clearance operations in the vicinity of MASHEMA Village, ZURMI LGA, ZAMFARA State, encountered a group of suspected bandits to the west of MASHEMA, they requested close air support, receiving an NAF Alphajet from KATSINA and an Mi35 AH from GUSAU, which attacked the suspected bandit positions with rockets and cannon fire and then pursued the survivors.
The NCS SOKOTO State Command states it seized 68 x cartons of Tramadol,22 x cartons of Evergrip tablets valued at N20m, 6 x cartons of expired cigarettes and 120kg of cannabis valued at N1.2m. The Tramadol tablets were allegedly smuggled from NIGER Republic and seized from a house in SOKOTO City and were of 200 and 225mg dosage as opposed to the regulation 30 or 50mg dosage. The cannabis was hidden in bales of second hand clothes and seized at KAMBA Border Post on the KEBBI State border
THE NPF stated they have arrested 8 suspected armed robbers and kidnappers who operated along ABUJA-KADUNA Road, KADUNA-ZARIA Road
The NPF stated they had arrested 35 suspects allegedly involved in the attacks in ZAMFARA State recovering 6 x AK47, 15 x locally fabricated firearms, 183 x 7.62mm (AK) rounds and 7 x cartridges

A suspected NAF helicopter has reportedly crashed in the vicinity of GANDI Town, RABAH LGA, SOKOTO State
NAF Attack Helicopter tasked to Op Diran Mikiya conducted armed reconnaissance an identified a group of approximately 20 armed suspected bandits mounted on motorcycles, with suspected stolen cattle in an open field 4km southeast of YANMARI Village and in the vicinity of HAYIN ALHAJI Villages, TSAFE LGA, ZAMFARA State. The suspects were engaged with machine gun fire as they tried to disperse inflicting casualties
The KADUNA State High Court adjourned the decision on the bail application for IMN leader Ibrahim EL ZAKZAKY until 04 October 2018. EL ZAKZAKY is charged with conspiracy, abating culpable homicide and other offences.

The Army states that troops deployed on Op Sharan Daji conducted clearance operations in MARADUN, TSAFE and ZURMI LGA, ZAMFARA State engaging suspected bandits in MASHEMA, KWADI, KALAGE, GAMBIRU and KAGARA.
The Army states that troops deployed on Op Sharan Daji ambushed suspected bandits in the vicinity of DABAN DOKA Village near DANSADU, MARU LGA, ZAMFARA State killing 20 suspects, burning several motorcycles. Troops also engaged suspected bandits near YANKUZO and MAI TUKUNYA village near DANSADU, YANWARI Ward, MARU LGA, killing 2 suspected wanted bandits Bello DANBOKO and Sani MAZA. Troops also conducted day and night fighting patrol in the vicinity of KYARANKE and GIWABAWA Villages, KANOMA District, MARU LGA due to allegations of bandits seeking to extort N1m from each of the village. Another raid led to the recovery of several abductees and N500,000.00 in SUBULU Forest. 2 suspected bandits alleged to have operated in and around MARADUN Town were detained in TASHAN UDDA, MARADUN LGA, weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, phones and cattle were recovered

Locals allege that youths had asked Fulani herdsmen to leave the area; the herdsmen allegedly swore vengeance and launched the attack

A man from DAWAKI ANGWAN JEKADA, SULEJA was arrested for allegedly abducting 2 girls from GWADA, SHIRORO LGA

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) stated they were preparing to receive 8,828 IDPs from NASARAWA and KOGI States. The IDPs fleeing clashes between the Ebira of KOGI State and the Bassa of NASARAWA State had taken refuge in KWALI and ABAJI Area Councils so were to be relocated to Senior Secondary School, DANGARA, KWALI Area Council until 01 September 2018
