Gunmen ambushed elements of 81 Bn including the CO heading to MAIDUGURI from BULABULIN along the DAMBOA- MAIDUGURI Road with small arms and IEDs in the vicinity of TETERI Village around midday killing 4 soldiers and wounding 5, capturing 2 x gun trucks and burning 1 x Toyota Hilux. Mobile Strike Teams rapidly responded, recapturing 1 x gun truck, 1 x Hilux, 2 x motorcycles and 2 x AK 47s

19 October

NAF ISR platforms identified suspected enemy concentrations in DURWAWA, in the vicinity of URGA, near KONDUGA, KONDUGA LGA, BORNO State. An Alphajet was tasked to the target striking it twice with bombs setting the structure afire

The Army Council approved the promotion of a WO Garba ABDULLAHI of 159 Bn to the rank of Captain

20 October

Gunmen ambushed elements of 3Bn, 22 Bde in the vicinity of MISSINI Village, NGALA LGA, BORNO State along DIKWA-NGALA Road around 11.30am, friendly forces defeated the ambush killing 3 enemy and capturing 1 x AK 47 and 39 x 7.62mm (AK) rounds

21 October

Gunmen attacked MAGAR 25km from GULAK, MADAGALI LGA, BORNO State in the afternoon and abducted 3 young women working on a farm

18 October

The Army activated 8 Division in SOKOTO, SOKOTO State under its GOC Brig Gen Olabanji SAMUEL

Situation North Centre (Abuja FCT, Bauchi, Benue, Gombe, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Taraba States)

15 October

Gunmen mounted an illegal roadblock, intercepting a vehicle travelling from MINNA to SARKIN PAWA, in the vicinity of KUNBWADA Village, MUNYA LGA, NIGER State, killing 1 person and wounding one woman and abducting 6 people including the DPO of SARKIN PAWA Police Division. The kidnappers have allegedly demanded a N16m ransom.

The PLATEAU State branch of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association claimed that 6 of their members were attacked by Irigwe militants while grazing their cattle in KURI Village, BASSA LGA, PLATEAU State and murdered with bladed weapons. They also allege that 40 sheep and 9 cows were killed and 232 cattle stolen.

Suspected nomadic gunmen attacked NKYIE DOGHWRO, IRIGWE Chiefdom, BASSA LGA, PLATEAU State. Local villagers had been allegedly gathered in the Primary School by men of 3rd Armoured Division for protection, who then allegedly withdrew and then the villagers were attacked with small arms and bladed weapons leaving up to 27 people killed

16 October

Suspected nomadic gunmen attacked ROTSU Village, IRIGWE Chiefdom burning 3 houses and killing 1 person, a Police unit deployed in an APC and repelled the attack

18 October

The NAF stated it had deployed 1 x L39ZA operating from KANO State and an EC 135 to JOS, PLATEAU State to support OP Safe Haven in PLATEAU State

 21 October

A clash broke out between citizens and MOPOL in RIYOM LGA, PLATEAU State after 2 youths suffocated whilst digging a well near an STF checkpoint. Local citizens allege that the MOPOL men forced 3 youths to reopen an abandoned well, sending the first 2 in who were overcome and died, whilst the 3rd managed to escape. The MOPOL then opened fire on locals who gathered to investigate and protest wounding 3

17 October

2 x PBIED detonated in LIMANI, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region in the morning killing only themselves

18 October

Gunmen attacked a village near MORA, MAYO SAVA Department but were repelled by the Camerounian military and vigilantes. During a follow up clearance operation a vigilante detonated an IED killing himself and wounding 2 others

20 October

4 x suspected Boko Haram members surrendered to Vigilantes in MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region
