Gunmen suspected to be from Mamman NURs faction attacked 3 Bn positions in LOGOMANI, DIKWA LGA, BORNO State around 7.00pm losing 3 x killed and 1 x enemy captured. Troops mounted rapid pursuit losing 1 soldier killed. 3 x AK 47s were captured

NAF ISR detected enemy concentrations in the vicinity of ALAGARNO Camp, SAMBISA Forest with camoflauged buildings and solar panels on roofs

03 July

Elements of 26 TF Bde received the surrender of 70 suspected Boko Haram members including several enemy commanders

Gunmen suspected to be from Mamman NURs faction, attacked 81 Div TF Bn positions in GULUMBA GANA, BAMA LGA. BORNO State but were defeated with an unspecified number killed, 2 x AK 47, 2 x magazines containing 9 x 7.62mm (AK), 2 x 40mm AGL rounds, and several empty 23mm cases, 1 x mobile phone were captured.

2 x Alphajets and 1 x F-7Ni conducted air strikes on the suspected enemy buildings in ALAGARNO Camp, SAMBISA Forest destroying the buildings and an enemy vehicle

04 July

Troops conducting a clearance patrol along GWOZA-LIMANKARA Road to KATARA GIDAN DUTSE contacted enemy gunmen killing 8 and capturing 1. An IED factory was uncovered and destroyed, with cans of fertiliser captured, 1 x tool box, 11 x 7.62mm (NATO) rounds, 6 x improvised 7.62mm (NATO) rounds, 11 x improvised 7.62mm (AK) rounds and 4 x enemy banners

06 July

2 x male PBIEDs attempted to infiltrate UNIMAID but were spotted at a parapet around 9.50pm by security personnel who shot 1 dead, whilst the other detonated his device

An NAF Agusta 109 LUH suffered a malfunction and crash landed into a pool of water in MAIDUGURI, BORNO State. There were no casualties

Gunmen ambushed police on routine patrol in MAIGANA District, SOBA LGA, KADUNA State killing 2

The Federal High Court, KADUNA, KADUNA State dismissed the suit filed by Sheikh EL ZAKZAKY against the Army and the COAS as an abuse of court process on the basis that a similar suit had been determined by the Federal High Court, ABUJA. EL ZAKZAKYs lawyers argued that the ABUJA case pertained to illegal detention whilst the KADUNA case involved the enforcement of human rights

Gunmen ambushed a vehicle along the ABUJA-KADUNA Road in the vicinity of KATERI, KACHIA LGA, KADUNA State around 5.00pm killing a woman and abducting the external Auditor of the NHIS Scheme Zakari Mohammed SADA
