Gunmen abducted Garba DURBUNDE, a member of the NASS (TAKAI/ SUMAILA, KANO State) along ABUJA Road, in JERE LGA, KADUNA State

Mr DURBUNDE was released unharmed. Allegedly no ransom was paid

2 x suspected female teenage PBIEDs infiltrated an IDP Camp in the vicinity of KOLOFATA, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region around 6.00am, pretending to be refugees before detonating, killing themselves and 9 others and wounding 30

A suspected PBIED was shot in GANCE, MAYO SAVA Department 30 minutes before the Prefect of MAYO SAVA returned from the investiture of the KOLOFATA Sub Prefect

03 June

The G5 Sahel states (NIGER Republic, CHAD, BURKINA FASO, MALI and MAURITANIA) requested 50m Euros from the EU to set up the G5 Sahel Joint Force multinational force to tackle Islamist militants at a meeting in BAMAKO, MALI
