NEMA stated that 29,581 Nigerians refugees in NIGER Republic, CAMEROUN and CHAD had returned to NIGERIA. 13, 046 returned in May 2015 vi GEIDAM, YOBE State from NIGER Republic, 16,595 from CAMEROUN via SAHUDA near MUBI, ADAMAWA State. He stated there were 20,804 Nigerians in CHAD, 80,709 in CAMEROUN and 138,321 in NIGER Republic

The Presidents Senior Special Advisor on Media and Publicity Femi ADESINA stated that the government is negotiating with Boko Haram for the release of the remaining GSS CHIBOK abductees whilst delivering a lecture at the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) annual media workshop for Defence Correspondents and Commanding Officers

30 November

Elements of 25 TF Bde advancing through SAMBISA Forest detonated an IED in the vicinity of MATUBE, BORNO State killing one soldier. Another device was made safe with a controlled explosion

01 December

The NAF stated it had intensified air interdiction and armed recce by Attack Helicopters (AH) and Fighter Ground Attack (FGA) over SAMBISA Forest destroying enemy vehicles, fuel depots and logistic items, as well as dropping leaflets in a psyops op.

A Senate Delegation and NEMA visited IDP Camps in GWOZA LGA, BORNO State, 1,700 bags of rice, beans, maize and other items were delivered as well

Gunmen mounted in a VW Golf attempted to abduct a businessman from MAGAJIN GARI Road, YAR GABAS District, SOKOTO State around 9.00pm, they were prevented by local residents and 4 suspects detained by the NSCDC

01 December

The NAF announced it had conducted air strikes against suspected cattle rustler and bandit camps in the vicinity of GIDAN GARBA and BURWAYE, MARU LGA, ZAMFARA State with Mi 24 AH, Alphajet and L-39ZA FGA based on targeting data from ISR platforms

03 December

The KANO State Government donated 25 x patrol vehicles to the NPF KANO State Command

Gunmen ambushed a mining company truck in ALONGANI Village, NASARAWA EGGON LGA, NASARAWA State around 4.00pm as they left the mine site killing a policeman, 2 miners and a Chinese worker, one other Chinese worker was wounded

A communal clash between the Ebira and Bassa Kwomu peoples in IKENDE Town, BASSA LGA, KOGI State with small arms, bow and arrows and bladed weapons led to up to 40 deaths with 15 houses, 5 x vehicles and 15 x motorcycles burnt. Police sent to quell the conflict reportedly had a road traffic accident in the vicinity of ODENYI

Media reports state that the CAS AM Sadique ABUBAKAR stated that the NAF is to add 4 x new Mi 35N AH from RUSSIA, 3 x ex Brazilian Air Force Super Tucanos and 3 x JF 17 Thunder FGA from PAKISTAN at a seminar named ‘Developing Effective Air Power Responses to National Security Challenges in NIGERIA’. He stated that the 10 x Super Mushashak trainers ordered from PAKISTAN would be delivered and that 3 x Mi 24V and Mi 35P AH, 2 x EC-135, 2 x Augusta Westland A109s and 1 x Super Puma had been refurbished as well as 1 x Beechcraft light aircraft, 1 x Diamond DA 42 and 2 x Dornier Do 228

Police in NIGER State have recovered approximately 200 stolen cattle in the past 2 weeks, arrested 12 suspects and recovered arms and ammunition

02 December

The Federal High Court, ABUJA, FCT ordered the release of the IMN leader Ibrahim EL ZAKZAKY, ordering the DSS to produce EL  ZAKZAKY and his wife ZEENAT EL ZAKZAKY in 45 days and awarded each  N25m in damages

Up to 4 gunmen abducted a Radio BENUE journalist, Mrs Yuadoo TOR-AGBIDYE around 4.30am from her home on Ada Chenge Street, off Abu King Shuluwa Road, MAKURDI, BENUE State, driving her away in an ash coloured SUV

The French Ambassador to CAMEROUN Gilles THIBAULT presented 10 x jeeps with machine guns, 1 x ambulance and 5 x utility trucks, including a medical truck to the Camerounian Army received by Camerounian Minister of Defence Joseph Beti ASSOMO

02 December

The UN is seeking a $1bn in relief for victims of Boko Haram as part of its 2017 Humanitarian Response Plan
