Suspected armed robbers attacked the Leader of the SOKOTO state House of Assembly on Sama Road, SOKOTO at 3.00am killing a security guard as they tried to gain entrance. A team of MOPOL responded and they fled

21 November

ZAMFARA State Governor Abdulaziz YARI stated that in the last month 50 persons has been abducted, 53 people killed in SHINKAFI LGA, 50 in MARU LGA, 37 in MARADUN LGA and 15 in ZURMI LGA. He stated that the State Government had set up a Crisis Management Committee to assess the damage caused by the criminals

A Fulani herdsman reportedly threated a farmer with a gun at DUNGUN MU’AZU Village, SABUWA LGA, KATSINA State, after his cattle damaged the farmers crops. The farmers kinsmen found the alleged attacker and reportedly disposed him of his AK 47. Other Fulani then attacked the village around dawn killing 7 and wounding 6 (1 fatally), MOPOL and NPF from DANDUME LGA reacted driving them off

Police in ZAMFARA State stated the 41 abductees from MARU LGA had been released using ‘strategic security measures’ by joint security personnel. The NPF stated no ransom had been paid or cows released as demanded

BENUE State Police Command acting on a tip off raided a suspected armed robber/ kidnapper hideout in TYOGBEDA ANSHAN, USONGO LGA, engaging the suspects in a firefight, killing 3 and capturing 3. The suspects were alleged to have attempted to abduct the son of the late Tor Tiv and were allegedly members of the Terwase AGWAZA (aka GANA) gang. Police recovered 1 x Jerico pistol with 4 x rounds Of ammunition, 1 x Beretta pistol with 5 x 9mm rounds and 1 x double barrel shotgun with 3 x cartridges

The Police have rescued 2 abductees from TOTO and KARU, KARU LGA, NASARAWA State respectively
