9 more people have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into suspected Boko Haram cattle rustling. The total arrested are now 30 include a Major,  a Captain A. A, HUSSAINI (195 Bn Ops Officer in MAFA LGA), 2 policemen and 26 civilians

Media reports state that the 8 Div has opened a board of inquiry into the battle at GASHIGAR

Commander Op Lafiya Dole Maj Gen Lucky IRABOR stated that 39 soldiers were declared missing after the GASHIGAR battle of which a ‘sizeable’ (yet unspecified) number had returned to base

Troops conducting clearance operations towards TALALA and AJIGIN, were ambushed by gunmen mounted in pick up trucks in the vicinity of UGUNDIRI, DAMBOA LGA, BORNO State with small arms, AAA weapons and RPGs around 3.15pm killing 5 soldiers and 4 vigilantes and wounding 19 soldiers and 1 vigilante. 1 x enemy pick up was destroyed, 2 x AAA guns (127 or 14.5mm), 2 x AAA gun barrels, 1 x PKM, 1 x RPG, 1 x AK 47 and 320 x 7.62mm rounds were captured

A female PBIED detonated outside BAKASSI IDP camp along MAIDUGURI-DAMBOA Road MAIDUGURI, BORNO State around 7.05am in a crowd leaving the camp for the mosque killing 5 men and wounding 24, another detonated in a Keke NAPEP 30 minutes later near the NNPC depot killing the 2 female passengers and the driver

Suspected nomadic gunmen dressed in military style uniforms attacked UNGWAR MISSI Village, JEMA’A LGA, KADUNA State, killing the 7 people including the village head and other elders by pretending to hold a security meeting and shooting them on the village outskirts and then burning 16 houses, the gunmen then attacked PASSAKRI, MILE ONE, and TUDUN WADA in KANINKON Chiefdom

A patrol from the Navy School of Armament Technology, KACHIA, KACHIA LGA, KADUNA State acting arrested 4 suspected cattle rustlers and recovered 95 cattle

Several people attempted to disrupt Friday prayer at the Sultan Bello Mosque, KADUNA, KADUNA State with bladed weapons

29 October

A patrol from the Navy School of Armament Technology, KACHIA, acting on an intelligence report raided a suspected cattle rustlers camp in the vicinity of MARO, GIDANA AUTA and RIJANA Villages, KACHIA LGA around 1.00am arresting 2 suspects and recovering 285 cattle and 7 sheep following a firefight, 1 suspect reportedly escape

KADUNA State Police Command stated that in October 168 suspects had been arrested, 126 charged to court and 42 under investigation. 1 x pump action shotgun, 1 x rifle, 1 x AK 47, 2 x locally made pistols 1 x locally made revolver, 1 x dane gun, 7 x shotgun cartridges, 6 x 9mm and 2 x AK 4 magazines had been seized

Suspected nomadic gunmen murdered a MOPOL Sergeant in his home in KWANGA, JOS SOUTH LGA, PLATEAU State around 8.00pm and stole his weapon. 4 local Fulani men have been detained
