DHQ states that a high ranking Boko Haram member and bomb maker was killed in an internal dispute by a bodyguard to ‘SHEKAU’ as he was about to run away, they also stated a high ranking bomb maker known as Abu RPG was killed a while back and another person JULELEBEEB was blinded by shrapnel. How the information was obtained or where the attacks took place is unclear

The Navy is to provide free medical services to IDPs in DALORI 2 Camp, BORNO State as part of the 60th Anniversary celebrations, including eye tests, glasses, deworming etc

Elements of 81 Bn and 251 TF Bn, 25 TF Bde conducted a nightime ambush on a crossing point from the SAMBISA Forest on the MAIDUGURI-BULABULIN-DAMBOA Road in the vicinity of NYALERI in the ALAGANO Area, DAMBOA LGA, BORNO State, attacking several gunmen mounted on motorcycles and bicycles, killing 2 and wounding several others and recovering 1 x AK 47, 1 x HE hand grenade, 4 x loaded AK 47 magazines, foodstuffs, Viagra and aphrodisiacs, footwear and bathroom slippers, 3 x motorcycles, 10 x bicycles, tool kits, clothing, 5 x rechargeable lamps, 5 litres of kerosene, military type uniforms. The military alleges they were to be sold or supplied to other groups of insurgents

Situation North West (Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States)

25 May

The KADUNA State Police Command paraded 12 suspected kidnappers (8 arrested in KACHIA, 3 in KAJURU, 3 in JAKADEREBI and 1 in KASUWAN MAGANI) and 28 suspected armed robbers and cattle rustlers arrested between 20th and 22nd Ma in TRIKANIA and CHIKUN, recovering 4 x AK 47, 7.62mm ammunition, 3 x live cartridges, 4 x vehicles, 103 cows and 23 sheep, 2 x pistols, 1 x pump action shotgun

Elements of Op Safe Haven arrested 5 suspected cattle rustlers who allegedly killed a Fulani herdsman and stole 32 cows and 30 sheep in MANGU LGA, PLATEAU STATE. The Berom suspects reportedly came from FAN District, BARKIN LADI LGA and took the cattle to GYEL Market, BUKURU, JOS SOUTH LGA.

24 May

The IGP of Police Solomon ARASE has ordered the deployment of a helicopter and a SARS unit and 4 MOPOL and tracker units to KOGI state to deal with kidnapping and armed robbery

NDLEA KOGI State Command stated it had seized 26.352kg of cannabis and arrested 4 males and 1 female at various checkpoints

Gunmen killed a vigilante in LIMANI, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region

Gunmen abducted a man from GAKARA, MAYO SAVA Department. He was murdered in VALLEY, BORNO State NIGERIA and his body recovered the next day

Gunmen attacked BOSSO, DIFFA Region, NIGER Republic with small arms and RPGS around 5.30pm suffering 12 dead and wounding 3 Nigerien soldiers in the 2.5 hour firefight.

Media reports state that Camerounian Air Force 23 Sqn has been certified to conduct night operations with its 3 x Harbin Z9WE AH based in NGAOUNDERE, NORD REGION, with tests carried out in January

    bros you are bias is the Niger Delta, not part of Nigeria. you give report of the north and even the d rest of the world, but no report on the Niger Delta.

      I started a southern Nigeria sitrep but I don’t have enough time to do both.
      I’m doing a piece on Niger Delta, hopefully I can restart the Southern Nigeria sitrep as that is a growing wahala
