Elements of 7 Bde ambushed an enemy crossing point in the morning in DAWASHI, KUKAWA LGA, BORNO State killing 7 x enemy and capturing 1 x Peugeot Station wagon containing 67 x jerrycans with 2,010 litres of petrol, IEDs, uniforms, batteries, 1 x AK 47, tools and fish

The first draft of the Post Insurgency Recovery and Peacebuilding Assessments in BORNO State Government aided by the 6 North eastern states, the World Bank, EU and UN indicate 20,000 people have been killed; 956, 453 private houses, 5,335 classrooms and school buildings in 512 primary, 38 secondary and 2 tertiary institutions, 1,205 municipal, local government or ministry buildings, 76 police stations, 35 electricity offices, 14 x prison buildings, 201 health centres, 1,630 water sources, 726 electricity sub stations and distribution lines destroyed and 470, 000 livestock killed and

A new video has been released showing ‘SHEKAU’ in front of (or superimposed in front of) a screen. He expressed sentiments associated with defeat or accepting change

Elements of 29 TF Bde completed a 2 day operation clearing ABUKARTI, BARADILI, BORGOZO, GAIJARIBUL ABUKAR, KOLOMI, MARGUBA, UMARUMI and YASORI 1 & YASORI 2, KAGA LGA, BORNO State recovering 1 x dane gun, motorcycles, drums and bags of millet. IEDs were inadvertently detonated by an IED, another IED was detonated in a building in YASORI 1, it was determined that the BORGOZO area had been used as a harbour and staging area.

Gunmen attacked SABON GARI, MADAGALI LGA, ADAMAWA State abducting 14 women and 2 girls whilst they were fishing and fetching water

Elements of 3 Bn with the CJTF conducted a fighting patrol to KUSUMMA Village, MARTE LGA, BORNO State killing 3 and capturing 1 enemy. 529 hostages were rescued, 1 x motorcycle, weapons and axes recovered

An NAF Alphajet (NAF 457) veered off the runway at YOLA Airport, YOLA ADAMAWA State around 7.00pm crashing into a ditch as it returned from a mission over SAMBISA Forest neither pilot was injured

NPF announced they had rescued 3 children from a gang of kidnappers in MULANG, SONG LGA, ADAMAWA State, after a firefight in MAYO BELWA LGA, when the kidnappers came to pick up the N500,000.00 ransom. 3 kidnappers were killed and 8 x AK 47, 477 x rounds of ammunition, 1 x RPG and foreign and local currencies recovered. Elements of 7 Div Garrison and CJTF identified 2 x female PBIEDs 100m south of UMURARI Village, KONDUGA LGA, BORNO State around 1.20am. 1 detonated her device killing only herself and the other was shot by the soldiers. Her device was made safe by an NPPF/ Army EOD Team

Elements of 28 TF Bde claimed to have rescued several women abducted from SABON GARI, MADAGALI LGA, ADAMAWA State. The State House of Assembly Rep for MADAGALI Emmanuel TSANDU disputed the claim

Gunmen mounted on bicycles and tricycles attacked TUMPUN Village (near LASSA), ASKIRA UBA LGA, BORNO State around 8.00am killing 4 people and looting foodstuffs

Troops advancing towards ALAGARNO Forest rescue a 90 year old woman from KAMALARI Village, along MAIDUGURI-DAMBOA Road, who stated she had been held by Boko Haram for 3 days
