23 November

BORNO State Commissioner for Education ordered almost 450 Secondary schools that had been closed for almost 18 months to reopen

Members of the BUNDIGARI Community, DAMATURU, YOBE State accused the Army of causing the death of 26 year old Ibrahim BALA who had been arrested after a raid and allegedly brutalised and then denied medical treatment. 27 TF Bde Spokesman Lt George OKUPE denied the allegation and stated the Brigade Commander had ordered an investigation into the allegation

25 November

NEMA donated drugs and medical supplies to 3 hospitals in YOLA, ADAMAWA State treating casualties from the suicide IED attacks

26 November

The IGP Solomon ARASE stated that the NPF needs N8.7bn to fight insurgency and N4bn to rebuild 56 police stations and facilities whilst testifying to the House Committee on Police Affairs in ABUJA, FCT. He also stated that N57bn budgeted to the police had not been released

BAMA LGA Chairman Alhaji Ali GUJJA stated that the remains of 81 people murdered and dumped in the YADZERAM River at BAMA Bridge would be exhumed and reinterred according to Islamic rites

The Speaker of the BORNO State House of Assembly Abdulkarim LAWAN stated that only ABADAM LGA remained controlled by Boko Haram

KADUNA State NPF stated Op Yaki arrested 8 suspected cattle rustlers and seized 129 cattle and 30 sheep heading from DOKA LERE to YADIN GARU, LERE LGA, KADUNA State. 3 other suspects were arrested with 33 cows at WARTSI PITI, LERE LGA, KADUNA State.

27 November

Procter and Gamble, NIGERIA donated hygiene and personal care products such as sanitary pads, diapers toothpaste, batteries, soap and detergent to IDPs in BORNO state at a ceremony at the US Embassy, ABUJA, FCT

28 November

The BORNO State government has donated 84 tons of rice to 33,000 IDPs in DIKWA Town

The NIGER State Police command arrested 16 suspected cultists from the Vikings Confraternity in SULEIJA, SULEIJA LGA, NIGER State recovering 1 x locally made pistol, 1 x live cartridge, 6 x cutlasses, 1 x knife, 2 x cameras and other suspicious items.

The NIGER State police command anti cattle rustling unit raided suspected cattle rustlers in UNGWAN KUKA Village, BEJI, BOSSO LGA, NIGER State arresting 4 suspects

Combined Op Yaki and Divisional Police Patrol Team recovered 194 cows in AUCHAN, KUBAU LGA, KADUNA State

A female PBSIED detonated at a checkpoint on DIKWA Road, outside MUNA Garage Area GALIMARI Village, MAFA LGA near MAIDUGURI, BORNO State amongst a group of IDPs arriving from DIKWA, killing 8 and wounding 7 as they alighted from a bus for searches

25 November

4 x gunmen abducted the Majority Leader of the PLATEAU State House of Assembly Daniel DEM from his home in BUKURU, JOS SOUTH LGA, PLATEAU State around 7.30pm. He stated he was abandoned in HAKIBO Village after security forces began pursuing them

27 November

A male PBSIED detonated in DAKASOYE outside GARUM MALLAM LGA, KANO State, 20 km south of KANO around 2.00pm killing 21 people and wounding 60 (3 subsequently died of wounds)taking part in an IMN (Shia) Arba’een procession from KANO to ZARIA, KADUNA State, he was dressed in black like other members. A man had been earlier arrested with a suspected IED just before the explosion, who alleged they had been sent by Boko Haram. The captive reportedly stated they had been abducted from MUBI, ADAMAWA State in 2014 and taken to SAMBISA Forest for training. The suspect stated he had been sent to KANO 11 days ago and kept in a safe house specifically for this IED attack. The procession continued after the attack

Gunmen attacked GAJIGANA Village, MAGUMERI LGA, BORNO State around 8.30pm killing 1 soldier and 2 civilians, stealing foodstuff and burning properties

28 November

Boko Haram issued statements on social media claiming responsibility for the KANO State attacks on the Shia procession

Gunmen mounted on bicycles and on foot attacked BAM BURATAI, BIU LGA, BORNO State with small arms and IEDs around 3.30am killing 4 people, abducting 2 women and 3 children and stealing 2 vehicles and then burning the village, leaving around 5.00am

Gunmen attacked ASHIGASHIYA, LOGONE ET CHARI Department, EXTREME NORD Region killing 1 person

25 November

Central African regional body CEEAC stated they would raise 50bn CFA Francs to assist their members fight Boko Haram

Gunmen attacked NIGUE and OURO LEIMARI near FOTOKOL, LOGONE ET CHARI Department killing two people and burning 46 huts and 15 goats

MNJTF Sector 1 consisting of Camerounian forces from 4RMIA conducted a battalion strength operation to clear the ridgeline between LIMANI and BONDERI along Route Nationale 1 in MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region, CAMEROUN. One vehicle detonated an IED in the vicinity of WAMBACHE, MORA Arrondissement, MAYO SAVA Department, wounding 7 soldiers from DMF

26 November

Gunmen attacked GOGONE, DIFFA Region, NIGER Republic with small arms and RPGS near BOSSO and Lake Chad killing 18 people, wounding 11 and abducting a 3 year old girl. The attackers who included locals such as the Chief Imams nephew who allegedly slit his uncle’s throat burnt up to 100 huts, reportedly retreated to NIGERIA over the KOMADOUGOU YOBE River

The French Director of Military Intelligence Gen Christophe GOMER visited the Chief of Defence Intelligence, AVM Riku MORGAN in ABUJA, FCT to discuss intelligence sharing

Gunmen attacked AISSA HARDE, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region near MORA killing a herdsman

27 November

Gunmen attacked KERAWA, KOLOFATA Arrondissement, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region with small arms and RPGs, but were pushed back to KERAWA, BORNO State after a 5 hour firefight, 4 were killed and 9 wounded

A veteran Canadian broadcaster David SMITH is to set up a shortwave radio station named Dandal Kura to combat Boko Haram, broadcasting in Kanuri and Hausa to people in the Lake CHAD basin. Mr SMITH previously worked for the ANC owned radio station, Capital Radio, UN radio in BOSNIA former YUGOSLAVIA, BANGUI, CAR, SOMALIA and DRC. With correspondents in DIFFA Region, MAROUA, CAMEROUN and CHAD. The station plans to move to MAIDUGURI but broadcasts from KANO from 6am to 8am on 7415khz in the 41m band and 7.00pm to 10.00pm on 11830Khz on the 25m band. It is unclear how the station is funded

2 x female PBSIEDs detonated outside a shop in DABANGA, LOGONE ET CHARI Department, EXTREME NORD Region killing 8 people and wounding 2 soldiers and 10 civilians as they prepared for evening prayers

Gunmen attacked a village in DIFFA Region, NIGER Republic killing 4 people, wounding 2 and burning up to 50 homes

Elements of Camerounian 4RMIA completed clearance operations along the NIGERIA border, killing 30 people and detaining 100 in KOTE, MBA, SATILE, DODERI and WALASSA, DIAMERE Department, EXTREME NORD Region. 900 abductees were reportedly released and 350 cattle recovered

Gunmen attacked GOUZOUDOU, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region between KOURGUI and KOLOFATA killing 5 people at night
