The Governors of KADUNA, KATSINA, NIGER, ZAMFARA, KEBBI and SOKOTO State met in Government House, KADUNA KADUNA State to discuss anti bandit operations in KAMUKU Forest and agreed to extend operations beyond the original 6 month time scale (due to end 266 October 2015)

26 October

Col Sambo DASUKI (rtd) former NSA has been charged with money laundering at the Federal High Court, ABUJA, FCT in addition to earlier illegal weapons possession charges. $210,000.00 and N42.6m were allegedly found in his house during a search. The case was adjourned to Wednesday 28th October

COAS Lt Gen TY BURATAI has decorated 2,903 soldiers of 28 Task Force Bde in MUBI, MUBIXXX LGA, ADAMAWA State

The NSA Maj Gen MONGUNO (rtd) presented the Federal Government North East Marshall Plan (NEMAP) to provide N92.2bn of reconstruction, development and emergency assistance to the region at the Countering Violent Extremism Conference in ABUJA, FCT

The North East Humanitarian Multi Stakeholders Engagement was opened in MAIDUGURI, BORNO State, where the chairman of the Presidential Committee on North East Intervention Gen Theophilus DANJUMA (rtd) stated N233bn was needed for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the area

The KADUNA State Police Command stated it had carried out anti-cattle rustling operations in KATARI, JERE, CHIKAWALI and AKILIBU Villages, KACHIA LGA, along KADUNA-ABUJA Road recovering 94 cows, 45 sheep, 1 x locally made pistol, 1 x AK 47 magazine, knives, items of military type clothing and housebreaking tools after a firefight.

NAF Alphajets conducted air strikes against enemy fuel and ammunition dumps and vehicle workshops in the SAMBISA Forest, which were identified using UAVs and ATR 42s

28 October

The Army declared 100 suspected Boko Haram members wanted, publishing a poster with their photographs and 3 hotline numbers +234 (0) 81855888, 08160030300 and 07053333123. Most of the suspects were young men, including 8 children, with 3 men over 70 years old

28 Elements of 28 Task Force Bde deployed in BITA and PRIDANG cleared enemy camps in the vicinity of BULAJILIN and MANAWASHE Villages, GWOZA LGA, BORNO State along the BITA-DAMBOA Road at the edge of SAMBISA Forest. 8 men, 138 women and 192 children were rescued and moved to MUBI for debrief. Troops reportedly killed up to 30 enemy and captured 1 x GPMG, 2 x dane guns, 150 x 7.62mm NATO link, 5 x handheld, thermal fused IEDs and 2 x medium sized, thermal fused IEDS, 6 x boxes of 7.62mm NATO and 3 x cutlasses

The CAS Air Marshal ABUBAKAR stated the NAF had conducted 1,448 sorties between July and October 2015 and deployed 300 ground troops as well as F 7NI, Alphajets, C130, Agusta 109, Mi 35, Mi 24 Mi 17 and Super Pumas, whilst receiving a delegation from the Crisis Communication Centre

The NAF Hospital in DALORI IDP Camp, JERE LGA, BORNO State has commenced operations

President BUHARI stated that the conflict in LIBYA was driving Daesh fighters into the Boko Haram conflict during a media interview in India

IDPs from 20 village along the BORNO/ YOBE State borders arrived in JAKANA, KAGA LGA, BORNO State after their villages were attacked up to a week ago by gunmen mounted on horses and motorcycles with small arms and bladed weapons. The gunmen reportedly abducted females, stole cattle and sheep and burnt the villages

Gunmen mounted on motorcycles attacked JAKANA Village, KAGA LGA, BORNO State around 3.00pm killing 8 villagers who had just fled from an attack on their own village

Gunmen attacked KETTI PYAKASSA Village, FCT (a Fulani settlement), killing 7 people and wounding 5 in an apparent armed robbery

28 October

Gunmen attacked BARA, GULANI LGA, YOBE State with small arms and IEDs around 11.00pm, burning several houses and looting foodstuffs and other goods from houses. Local were displaced to BAJOGA, FUNAKAYE LGA, GOMBE State

Gunmen attempting to attack GUBULA, GIREI LGA, ADAMAWA State with small arms and IEDs were ambushed, losing 4 killed, 2 x AK 47, mortar bombs, IEDs and N153,385.00 cash were recovered

29 October

Boko Haram released still photos by social media of a facility making improvised surface to surface rockets. The equipment used appears to be from Government Technical College, BAMA. No indication was given of the range or lethality of the devices or if they function or have ever been used. The military stated that the photographs were from an old facility in BAMA that had been overrun already.

Gunmen attacked YAM GAZAWA Village, MAYO TSANAGA Department, EXTREME NORD Region burning 7 homes and stealing a motorcycle

The Camerounian Minister of Defence Joseph Beti ASSOMO arrived in MORA, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region, to visit the MJNTF HQ and tour the Region.

The British Military Advisory and Training Team (BMATT) conducted a 5 day seminar for 150 Warrant Officers and NCOs at the Armed Forces and Staff College, JAJI, IGABI LGA, KADUNA State, focussing on Intelligence and Analysis, Operational Capacity Building and Force Sustainment

The Nigerien parliament voted to extend the 15 day state of emergency to 3 months

28 October

The UN Special Representative for West Africa Mohammed Ibn CHAMBAS states that the MJNTF will begin operations when the dry season ends

Gunmen attacked ALA, DIFFA Region, NIGER Republic killing up to 14 civilians and wounding 3, looting then burning the village

AFRICOM stated that a 40 man US military training team began training Nigerien Army units at Air Base 201 AGADEZ, AGADEZ Region on 19 October. 150 servicemen were undergoing an 8 week package that covers basic soldiering, marksmanship. USAF personnel will attend in January 2016, 2 months into the course to train the soldiers in Airfield Security.
