Op Safe Haven stated they had engaged suspected cattle rustlers in a firefight in the vicinity of LUGARE Village, BARKIN LADI LGA, PLATEAU State recovering 52 cattle and 22 rams. They also seized several cattle who allegedly encroached on a farm in RAKUN Village, BARKIN LADI LGA, which were released after the herder paid compensation to the owner of N50,000. They also stated that suspected IEDs had been laid in the road in the vicinity of GYAMBUS, MANGU LGA targeting Op Safe Haven vehicles.

NPF engaged suspected cattle rustlers in FALGORE Forest, in the vicinity of GAZOBI Village, TUDUN WADA LGA, KANO State, killing 3 Senegalese suspects and arresting 4 others. 224 cattle were recovered as well as a revolver

KANO State Police Command stated that 818 cows were recovered from cattle rustlers in FALGORE Forest, TUDUN WADA LGA, KANO State in a month long operation, as well as 72 suspects arrested, 42 x AK 47 rifles captured and 28 rounds of ammunition whilst 30 suspects were paraded to reported in KWANAR DAWAKI, DAWAKIN KUDU LGA.

143 Bn, 28 Task Force Bde conducted a deliberate clearance operation in JAJE, MADAKA, CHAKAWA and GORI Villages, MADAGALI LGA, ADAMAWA State, following up from the PBSIED attack on DAR Village, MADAGALI LGA, ADAMAWA State rescuing 10 women and 16 children in the 3 hour operation as well as reportedly killing up to 150 enemy, capturing 4 x AK 4s, 7 x hand grenades, 6 x IEDs, 15 x double barrelled shotguns, 15 motorcycles, 85 sheep and 70 cattle. The rescued persons were taken to an IDP camp in MUBI

Nigerian forces attacked enemy camps in the vicinity of NGANZAI, NGANZAI LGA, BORNO State

The IGP Solomon ARASE warned that Boko Haram might be creating IED booby traps contained in laptops, iPads and mobile phones for people to pick up

JIGAWA State Police Command arrested a female named as Ladi DAHIRU (60 years old, SADA Village, YANKWASHI LGA) on suspicion of trafficking 12 pre-teen girls in KAZAURE LGA, JIGAWA State, who were allegedly taken from FALLE Village, KUNCHI LGA, JIGAWA State on the pretext of attending an Islamiyya School in KABALA DOKI, KADUNA

5 suspects were charged with 4 counts under the Terrorism Prevention Amendment Act 2013 at ABUJA High Court, ABUJA, FCT in relation to the 2nd October IED attacks in KJUE and NYANYA, FCT. The suspects were arrested by the NPF Special Intelligence Response Team (SIRT). The 5 men are Igbiras from OKENE, KOGI State are named as Abdulazeez MUHAZAB, Ishiaka SALIHU, Mohammed JIMOH, Abdullahi NASIRU and Abdulwaheed NASIRU (aka HAULAKI) who plead guilty.

The KADUNA State Government has bought 107 vehicles for use by the security forces on Op Yaki

Elements of the KANO State Police Anti Cattle Rustling Unit and Special Ambush Squad engaged in a firefight with cattle rustlers in NADURKU GWAMMO Village, in GOMO Forest, SUMAILA LGA, KANO State resulting in one suspect killed and 224 cows, 45 sheep and 2 dogs recovered.

The PR officer 33 Artillery Bde, BAUCHI, BAUCHI State stated that Boko Haram might be planning to buy large quantities of rat poison to poison water supplies in the North East

2 people Timbee SHIJA (24 years old) and Sunday MATTHEW (17 years old) were charged with criminal conspiracy and kidnap of a minor at MAKURDI Magistrates Court, MAKURDI, BENUE State for allegedly abducting a 4 year old boy from his house on MAKURDI and demanding a N2m ransom

DHQ has denied media reports that STTEP had been re engaged to support the December offensive. The reports were also strenuously denied by Director of STTEP Eeben Barlow

Elements of 5 Bde cleared over 20 enemy camps in the vicinity of KERENOWA and CHIKUN GUDU, MARTE LGA, BORNO State. The camps based at KERENOWA, GUMADA and DOGON GIDA, had tunnels to conceal the entrance and exit points, training area and observation points.
