Elements of 7 Div clearing SAMBISA forest have destroyed TOKUMBERE, SASSA and ALAFA camps and liberated 200 women and 93 girls from Boko Haram. The abductees are reportedly from GUMSURI, DAMBOA LGA, BORNO State

29 April

Elements of 7 Div have cleared 9 enemy camps in the SAMBISA Forest, BORNO State namely WULARI, BUKAR, GANGALA, ANGUWAR, BAKWAI, JIGIDE, KOTORIMA, LAGARA BELLO and LAGARA FULANI. Troops liberated 60 women and 100 children and captured 2 x APCs, 2 x Buffalo trucks mounted with AAA guns, 1 x truck, several Toyota Hilux, 1 x AAA gun, 1 x GPMG, 1 x RPG and several AK 47. 1 soldier and 1 female hostage was killed and 4 soldiers and 8 women injured. Several enemy commanders were reported killed

30 April

Nigerian forces liberated 234 women and children in the KAWURI and KONDUGA axis of SAMBISA Forest.

01 May

BORNO State government stated that they had spent N15bn supporting the security forces over the last 3 years

Nigerian forces raided NBITA Village in the SAMBISA Forest, BORNO State liberating 234 women and children abducted by Boko Haram. 7 soldiers and 12 women were killed. 2 soldiers were injured when their vehicle detonated an IED

02 May

23 Bde handed over 275 women and children to NEMA in YOLA, ADAMAWA State. 19 were sent to hospital for further treatment

Elements of 23 Bde on patrol liberated 260 women and children in the vicinity of CHALAWA Village, ADAMAWA State. The abductees were reportedly from MADAGALI. An unspecified number of gunmen were killed, wounded and captured. Friendly forces also captured a machine gun, and unspecified amount and type of ammunition, several motorcycles and bicycles. One vigilante was wounded.

Suspected nomadic gunmen attacked IORNUNGUN Village, KEANA LGA, NASARAWA State and JATO and AKA IN KWANDE LGA, BENUE State

Suspected nomadic gunmen attacked TSE USU, GBUDU and BRANCH UMENGER in MBADWEM District, GUMA LGA, BENUE State killing at least 13 people and displacing several hundred people.

Suspected nomadic gunmen attacked UOSU Village, KEANA LGA, NASARAWA State killing 11 people. Local residents have fled to KEANA Town.

27 April

Gunmen attacked MARGUBA Village, BENISHEIKH, KAGA LGA, BORNO State killing 21 people, stealing food stuffs and livestock and burning properties

28 April

Gunmen ambushed a patrol from the STF in the vicinity of AMAR and KAMBARI Villages, KARIM LAMIDO LGA, TARABA State, killing 6 soldiers and mutilating their bodies. 3 other soldiers reported missing were later found dead. The attackers were reportedly Tarok cattle rustlers who were attempting to steal livestock from GIDAN NANNI, TARABA State, they reportedly stole the dead soldiers rifles and an RPG

01 May

Gunmen attacked SAKU, WADATA, KASUWA, WADATA MISSION, KURMI and KADARKO Villages in WASE LGA, PLATEAU State. The men were dressed in military style uniforms. Lot NDEN (a Tarok traditional ruler) claimed over 500 people were killed by up to 5,000 men with 18 armoured vehicles. Others put the number killed at 39 people. The STF spokesman Capt Ikedichi IWEHA stated that elements of 3 Armoured Div and the STF were on operations in the area to clear gunmen and denied any military involvement in the alleged massacre. Nigerian forces claim to have destroyed a militant armoury in KADARKO and killed 28 militant for the reported loss of 1 soldier killed and 1 missing

A mob attacked Chief Sule ABENGA, the Ter MAKURDIs Palace in MAKURDI, BENUE State, allegedly due to the involvement of his son in criminal activites

26 April

Chadian Attack Helicopters from DIFFA, NIGER Republic attacked enemy positions on KARAMGA Island around 11.00am. The island was recaptured with 46 Nigerien soldiers, 28 civilians and 156 enemy killed, several dozen are reported missing.

29 April

The Governor of DIFFA Region, NIGER Republic ordered the evacuation of all inhabited islands on Lake CHAD

30 April

Gunmen attacked MADA Village, LOGONE ET CHARI Department, EXTREME NORD Region.

02 May

Gunmen attacked a Chadian checkpoint in the vicinity of AMCHIDE, MAYO SAVA Department, EXTREME NORD Region, CAMEROUN, wounding 3 Chadian soldiers
