10 November

A Military Helicopter crashlanded near the NYSC Camp, BAJABURE, GIREI LGA, ADAMAWA State around 9.30amafter taking off from YOLA International Airport. Media reports state that at least 5 foreigners were on board. DHQ confirmed the crash giving only the call sign ‘Shark 23’ but not the make, tail number or unit of the crashed aircraft.

11 November

YOBE State Government closed all primary and secondary schools in POTISKUM, FIKA, FUNE and NANGERE LGAs indefinitely due to insecurity.

12 November

Approximately 30 families have pre-emptively fled BAGA, KUKAWA LGA, BORNO State as a result of rumours of an impending Boko Haram attack and rumours that the MJNTF had withdrawn from their base.

Local hunters reportedly attacked and defeated gunmen in MAIHA, ADAMAWA State pushing them out of the town allegedly killing 75 of them

The Army has recaptured MUBI, reportedly supported by local hunters from the Sarkin Bakan Gombi society and Yan Tauri vigilantes. Surviving insurgents reportedly retreated through ASKIRA UBA and MUBI SOUTH LGA’s. The Sarkan Bakan Gombi and Yan Tauri were reportedly organised by the Emir of MUBI and attacked the enemy at night. The Army reportedly captured 5 APCs, whilst the hunters and vigilantes captured the Boko Haram ‘Amir’.

13 November

An NAF Mi 35 crashed in DAMARE, GIREI LGA, ADAMAWA State the vicinity of the MODIBBO ADAMA University of Technology, YOLA, around 9.30pm killing the 3 crewmen. The helicopter was reportedly flying with lights off in a 2 ship formation when locals report it crashed and exploded. They also reported secondary explosions and unconfirmed reports of burnt boxes of cash.

Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Kenneth MINIMAH stated in testimony before the Senate Committee for Defence and Army stated the Army ‘had suffered setbacks’. The Committee heard from the Inspector General of Police Suleiman ABBA and Director General Directorate of State Security Ekpeyong ETA

14 November

Sami RIBADU escaped from his kidnappers from their hideout in the vicinity of SANGERE Village, GIREI LGA, ADAMAWA State from where he took public transport to YOLA.

Media reports state that a large number of soldiers were reportedly sighted along the DAMBOA Road in MAIDUGURI, BORNO State heading towards the SAMBISA Forest.

15 November

The Army states that elements of 7 Div recaptured CHIBOK in an operation supported by local vigilantes

08 November

Suspected Nomadic gunmen attacked ARIKYA SONI, NASARAWA EGGON LGA, NASARAWA State killing 32 people as they returned from their farms. The attackers also stole 9 motorcycles.

Gunmen who set up an illegal VCP on the OBI-KEANA Road, OBI LGA , NASARAWA State were killed by troops who recovered an AK 47, local rifles and charms

09 November

Boko Haram has released a new video through AFP. The video featured images from areas occupied by the insurgent, an extended indoor session with preaching by an individual referring to himself as SHEKAU captured vehicles are on display and driven around. There is also combat footage from an unknown location.

Gunmen abducted Sani RIBADU the junior brother of Nuhu RIBADU (former EFCC Chairman) from his farm in YOLA, ADAMAWA State around 5.00pm

10 November

A person borne suicide activated IED detonated at Government Technical Science School, POTISKUM, YOBE State around 7.30am during morning assembly. The attacker was reportedly disguised in school uniform killed 48 students between the ages of 11 and 20 at the scene, injuring 79

Gunmen mounted in APCs and pickup trucks attacked MAIHA, MAIHA LGA, ADAMAWA State around 6.00pm. The attack started at KOSHA around 2.30pm and pushed troops out until they go to MAIHA. Casualties on both sides are not known.

12 November

A female attacker suicide detonated a person borne IED at the Federal College of Education, KONTAGORA, NIGER State around 11.30am, injuring 2 female students and killing the bomber. It is presumed the device detonated prematurely before the attacker could get to the lecture room. Another suspected attacker was allegedly detained and handed over to the military.

13 November

Gunmen mounted in pickup trucks and motorcycles attacked CHIBOK, ASKIRA UBA LGA, BORNO State with small arms and RPGs around 5.00pm destroying mobile phone masts, soldiers fought until they had to withdraw due to lack of ammunition.

Gunmen mounted in trucks, buses and motorcycles attacked HONG and GOMBI, HONG LGA, ADAMAWA State after retreating from MUBI and MAIHA. The retreating terrorists first attacked a military checkpoint at MARABAR PELLA Village and then moved to HONG burning down the police station.

Gunmen killed 16 people in GWOZA, GWOZA LGA, BORNO State who left hiking in the hills too look for food

14 November

The Nigeria Police Force in the FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY arrested a man they believe to be an escapee from KOTON KARFE Prison, KOGI State

A vehicle borne IED was suicide detonated at a NAGARSHIKU Petrol Station around 7.30pm in HOTORO District, KANO, KANO State killing 3 policeman and 2 civilians and injuring 5 others

09 November

Gunmen launched 6 simultaneous attacks in the vicinity of KOLFATA and FOTOKOL, EXTREME NORD Region , CAMEROUN killing 3 civilians

8 rockets were fired at FOTOKOL from GAMBORU NGALA

10 November

Gunmen from BANKI fired into AMCHIDE, CAMEROUN, BIR forces responded with 36 rounds in counter bombardment

11 November

Gunmen attacked KARANCHI, KERAWA, DOUMBA, TOUROU, LIMANI, AMCHIDE and in the vicinity of KOLOFATA. 1 Camerounian soldier was killed and one civilian, 15 enemy vehicles, 3 trailers of explosives and several motorcycles were destroyed and 30 bodies recovered, although the Camerounian estimate 187 enemy killed.

Camerounian forces have seized weapons and ammunition hidden in bags discovered in a truck on the NGAOUNDERE BRIGADE Road in the vicinity of TCHABAL, ADAMAOUA Region, during a routine stop, the driver and occupant have been detained by the Gendarmerie.

US President Barack OBAMA and UN Secretary General Ban KI-MOON condemned the suicide IED attack in the school in POTISKUM, YOBE State called for an urgent probe into the attack.

12 November

Camerounian forces have seized weapons and ammunition hidden in bags hidden in a Peugeot 504 in the NASEEM District, KOUSSERI, the vehicle was coming from CHAD.

15 November

Gunmen attacked BODO, MAKARY District, EXTREME NORD Region, CAMEROUN burning 3 vehicles.

A cart detonated a mine on the MAKARY-FOTOKOL Road killing one person in the vicinity of FOTOKOL.

Gunmen bombarded Camerounian positions in FOTOKOL with 5 rounds of artillery (calibre unknown) from GAMBORU NGALA, NIGERIA, a rocket was also fired into GARDOUMBA District of FOTOKOL

Elements of BIR captured 18 suspected Boko Haram members in FOTOKOL

Gunmen ambushed a car along the FOTOKOL Road in the vicinity of BLANGAFE with an RPG
