Federal High Court, LAGOS, sentenced 3 Boko Haram members Ali MOHAMMED, Adamu KARUMI and Ibrahim USMAN to 25 years with hard labour each. The trial was conducted in secret by Justice Ibrahim BUBA. Of the total of 17 originally charged with 18 counts of conspiracy to commit terrorism, illegal possession of firearms and membership of a proscribed organisation, 14 had their trials continued and one Bala HARUNA was discharged. The first 3 were arrested with 3 x packets of explosive pipes 15 x detonators, 11 x AK 47 rifles and 230 x rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, whilst Bala HARUNA was said to have raised money to facilitate an escape.
The 12 Nigerian soldiers sentenced to death for mutiny have been moved to KAINJI, NIGER State and LAGOS State
7 people have reportedly been detained for alleged membership of Boko Haram and planning to attack ABUJA, FCT. The individuals Iliya ADAMU (PA to Senator NDUME currently on trial for Boko Haram membership), Hamidu ADAMU, Musa MUSTAFA, Yukubu HASSAN, Saidu HASSAN and Adamu HAMMA
The Minister of Finance Ngozi OKONJO- IWEALA stated that newly purchased military equipment had arrived in the country whilst she oversaw the distribution of relief materials to IDPS at the NYSC Orientation Camp, GIREI, ADAMAWA State. She did not specify the number or type of equipment ordered or arrived.
A General Courts Martial presided over by Brig Gen YUSUF sitting in Army Headquarters Garrison, ABUJA, FCT began trying the cases of 82 soldiers and 15 officers from 7 Div accused of mutiny, assault, AWOL, cowardice and other offences.

Gunmen attacked the market in MONGUNO, BORNO State around 3.00pm with small arms firing at traders killing 9 and wounding 10.
Approximately 35 people fleeing from GWOZA, BORNO State were abducted by gunmen, in the vicinity of the town. 3 of the abductees have reportedly died in captivity.
Boko Haram released a video to the media with one of the Shekau personas incompetently firing a variety of machine guns. The video reiterated the claim that Shekau was alive and also showed footage of what they claimed was Alphajet NAF 466 and a man who stated he was Wing Cmdr Chimda HEMDIMA the pilot. The man was murdered by beheading. The 36 minute video also shows a man being murdered by stoning, an amputation and a man and a woman being publicly flogged at an undisclosed location. NAF spokesman Air Commodore Dele ALONGE disputed the claim that the aircraft had been shot down or that the man featured was an NAF officer.
Nomadic gunmen attacked LWA, DUM, RACHIT and DYANG Villages in BACHIT District, RIYOM LGA, Plateau State killing a member of the Special Task Force and 11 civilians, burning down some properties and 3 cars.
Gunmen attacked KUBI, GARTA and KUBURSHOSHO, MICHIKA LGA, ADAMAWA State around 4.00am looting food stocks and burning several properties. 70 people were reported killed. The gunmen tried to attack KAMALE Village but were prevented by the overflowing River KAMALE.
Nomadic gunmen attacked ZONGO Village, GUMA LGA, BENUE State killing 2 teenage girls with machetes and injuring a third. Police state that the gangs’ leader Abdul IBRAHIM had been arrested.
Media reports indicate that heavy fighting has broken out in BUNI YADI, GUJBA LGA, YOBE State.

Camerounian authorities have detained a policeman Cyril Prosper MBOTEGUE stationed in MOKOLO, EXTREME NORD Region on suspicion that he had taken a bribe to escort 4 alleged Boko Haram members to MADAGALI, NIGERIA. The suspects have been transferred to YAOUNDE
Camerounian forces recaptured the town of BALGARAM, EXTREME NORD Region from insurgents who had held it since late July. They report heavy enemy casualties and one Camerounian soldier lightly wounded.
Gunmen in the vicinity of GAMBORU NGALA fired into FOTOKOL, EXTREME NORD Region CAMEROUN. Casualties are unknown
The Ambassador of the Peoples Republics of China, Wo RUIDI, stated that the Chinese government was ready to help CAMEROUN tackle the insurgency whilst at a China National Day celebration in YAOUNDE.
Media reports state that 80 Nigerian refugees in CAMEROUN have died of cholera
